I believe it started as sketches on Youtube, and then they made a show out of it. So some of the Youtube stuff isn't repeated on the show, like a lot of the "There are 5000 people in Letterkenny. These are their problems" videos that are just rapid-fire statements are not part of the show. The show does have a narrative but a lot of the show is "let's go off on this tangent that is funny."
The short-haired farm boy is Wayne, and he is played by the creator of the show, and I love the all of the movement choices he makes.
I hope it is on Netflix eventually! I have no idea how it works with Canadian shows. It took years for Hulu to pick it up and we still just have two seasons.
